What is Cardnet?Cardnet is an Irish based company which has been a distributor for Student Advantage since 2003. We issue Student Advantage cards to international students living outside the USA ; we will also process orders from international students & faculty already in the USA. The cost and benefits of the Student Advantage Card are the same for both International and American students.
What does the Student Advantage Card cost?The Student Advantage Card costs USD 20 plus USD 2.50 for shipping by Air Mail to anywhere in the World.
What is the validity period?Please note that 2,3 & 4 Year validity cards are not available on the International site. If you apply for your card today it will expire on 31 May 2019.
How do I pay?You will be directed to the PayPal secure site where you can pay using Visa or MasterCard or your PayPal account.
When do I get my card number?International Applications are processed by our office in Europe during business hours, Monday to Friday. Your card number will be mailed to you within 48 hours of application. If you don’t receive your card number please check your SPAM Folder or mail us email@example.com and we will assist you.
Will my name be on the Student Advantage Card?No, your card is valid without your name but; you should sign the back of the card in order to validate it for your own personal use. The name on your card will be 'International Cardholder' There is no photo on the Student Advantage card.
When do I get my Card?You may use your card number to make bookings for Greyhound and for online purchases and hotel reservations but you will need to have the physical card when you are travelling. Your card will be sent by Air Mail and the delivery time is dependent on where you live and the efficiency of the post service to and within your country. Please note that we cannot provide tracking numbers. Typical delivery times: EU addresses- 2-3 days, Rest of Europe: 3-5 days, USA & Canada: 5-7 days and Rest of World up to 28 days.
Note: Due to a high number of lost cards do not use a business address such as a restaurant, bar, café, etc,
Can I use the Student Advantage Card in Canada and outside the USA?Please note that the Student Advantage card is valid for use in the USA only. If you live in Canada you may apply for the Student Advantage card but note that it cannot used in Canada or on the Canadian website of U.S. retailers. The exception being that Greyhound discount will apply on trips to Canada that begin the USA.
The Student Advantage Card may be purchased by any eligible person regardless of nationality or country of residence but it is valid for use only in the USA.
Must I "Activate" my Student Advantage Card?It is not obligatory but we recommend that you activate your Student Advantage Card for complete access to the Card's features and benefits; you will also receive limited-time offers, as well as notifications of future exclusive offers from Student Advantage. RefundsIf for any reason you would like to apply for a refund you must return the card to us, postmarked within 30 days of purchase. When we have received the unwanted card we will refund USD 20 to the original payment card. However, the USD 2.50 shipping fee is non-refundable.

Can I renew my Student Advantage Card on this site?Cards purchased though this International site cannot be renewed; please apply for a new card at the end of the validity period.
What about Card-A-Friend & Cash Back Offers?Some time-limited offers including Card-A-Friend and Cash Back are not applicable to those applying on the International Site.
Student Advantage AgreementExcept where noted above purchase of a Student Advantage card is subject to the Student Advantage Card Agreement.
